  • Kennerton headphones measurements

A year is not over yet and I have already got a new test fixture stand, and I am more than happy about it. I have switched now from a modified miniDSP EARS to a real test fixture, which is IEC711 complied: a coupler (IEC60318-4), artificial pinna, speficially calibrated microphone. So, now I can apply any target curve to frequency graphs without any recaltulations for real. An article about my new test fixture with all the detials – where to get it, how to use it and so on – is coming soon. Stay tuned. And for now you can check frequency graphs of almost all current Kennerton models from the new test fixture.

    Kennerton Wodan

Kennerton (Fischer Audio at that time) headphones introduced me to the world of audiophilia. It was the DBA-02 mkII. As the time went on, the company developed, mastered new technologies, improved design and quality. So I was happy to get to know their new model, the Kennerton Wodan.

    YU9 Audio U-556 Earphones Review

I’ve been trying to come up with something intelligent as an introduction for a long time, but decided to say the hell with it: I just liked the unusual appearance of YU9 U-556. That is, it was clear from the very beginning that it is conceptually something a la Etymotic, but judging by the unusual shape of the enclosures, it seems to be made for normal human ears. Up to a point, of course.

Audeze Maxwell Review. They did it!

I’ve never ever reviewed any of the Audeze headphones, because I don’t like their sound, nor do I like when a company aggressively promotes their technologies. I mean, when I was planning my wireless gaming headset Audeze Maxwell review, I thought there isn’t much to expect from it. Had an extensive range of all kinds of sarcastic lexical constructions up and ready to sprinkle all over my review, too. We all love those ‘expectations vs reality’ reactions on the Internet, so here it is. Expectations and reality, Audeze Maxwell edition.

Audiophiles should not suffer! Sony WF-1000xm4: the review

Well, why Sony WF-1000xm4? Believe it or not, it’s insanely hard to find anything decent, that’s why. All of the TWS headphones models I’ve tried (about 30 of them) didn’t fascinate me in any way, and it just so happened that the WF-1000xm3 I once owned were cool. I really enjoyed them, but then the battery capacity decided it’s time to go.
